Full Day intermediate Climbing Trip
Choose a full day to cover a wider range of more advanced skills, experience more than one crag, or to hone in on your technique!
expand your knowledge
An intermediate course can cover a wide range of more advanced skills for those with climbing experience who wish to learn methods such as lead climbing, lead belaying, taking safe lead-falls, building anchors, rappelling, protecting cracks, and basic self-rescue techniques. A full day allows for much more time to cover many of these topics, with plenty of demo and practice.
What to expect: We will spend half of our day at one crag, then take a short break to eat a lunch, followed by another climbing area.
With a full day of climbing, our guide can really dive into the instruction, customizing it to meet you where you are at, and providing lots of concise advice. Technical skills most useful to the client can be practiced as well, as mentioned above.
Duration: This is a typically full day excursion, meaning 8 hours town to town.
What to Bring: Close-toed Hiking shoes, 3-4 liters of water per person, lunch and snacks, a hat, sunglasses, sun protection (sunshirt, sunscreen, chapstick, etc). Recommended: Crack gloves (we love these) or Athletic/climbing tape to make Tape Gloves. (Crack climbing is not mandatory for this trip, we can focus on face climbing exclusively). If you have your own climbing equipment you want to use, please bring it.
We will provide all technical equipment such as ropes, harnesses, helmets, belay devices and climbing shoes. If you have your own equipment and would like to use it, we'll just need to have a look at it to make sure it's up to our standard.
