Half Day intermediate rock cLimbing Instruction

For those with some experience who want to learn more advanced skills or learn to lead climb.

More advanced instruction such as lead climbing, lead belaying, cleaning anchors, rappelling from a climbing anchor, building anchors, and cam placements.

What to expect: We will visit one of several excellent crags near Moab that boast a variety of climbs at various grades. Depending on the season we will look for sun or shade. For those with more experience, we can expand on your knowledge base, and provide expert observation of your movement and useful micro adjustments you can make for quicker success. This course is customized to meet you where you are at, so feel free to tell us what you know!

This trip is recommended for those who are already comfortable top rope belaying, top rope climbing and lowering partners but wish to learn more advanced climbing techniques.

Duration: This is a half day excursion, meaning 4 hours town to town. We offer a morning trip and an afternoon trip.

What to Bring: Close-toed Hiking shoes, 3 liters of water per person, lunch and snacks, a hat, sunglasses, sun protection (sunshirt, sunscreen, chapstick, etc).

We will provide all technical equipment such as ropes, harnesses, helmets, belay devices and climbing shoes. If you have your own equipment and would like to use it, we'll just need to have a look at it to make sure it's up to our standard.
