Entrajo Canyon
A wonderful beginner friendly canyoneering adventure!
Carved by water
Entrajo is one of the most popular canyoneering routes in Moab, and for good reason! It is guarded by a beautiful hike starting at Mill Creek, followed by incredible carved out bowls in the sandstone that we will slide, jump and rappel through. A short chimney drops us into a pool of water, but we will be dry by the time we get to our last rappel, a gorgeous 110' drop back to the ground.
What to expect: After a 20-25 minute drive south from Moab, we will park and hike into the canyon. The hike usually takes around an hour. There will be technical butt scooting, a small rappel, a chimney climb down with a belay, and a final big rappel. The potholes can be dry to chest deep water depending on the season. Best is to prepare to get wet.
This canyoneering trip is still beginner friendly.
Duration: This is a typically a 4 hour trip town to town.
What to Bring: Close-toed Hiking shoes, 3-4 liters of water per person, lunch and snacks, a hat, sunglasses, sun protection (sunshirt, sunscreen, chapstick, etc). Recommended: dry bag for items that cannot get wet (we can loan you one if you need).
We will provide all technical equipment such as ropes, harnesses, helmets, rappelling devices etc.
